Sifu Dean Jones (L)
Sifu Dean Jones began studying
Wing Chun in Johannesburg in 1991 having also studied Tai Chi and Wu
Shu.
In search of traditional Wing
Chun Sifu Jones moved to Hong Kong in December 1995 and began training under
Master Ip Chun. In June 1997 after almost two years of intensive private
training with Master Ip Chun Sifu Jones qualified as an instructor and
representative for the Master.
In September 1997 Sifu Jones
opened the Wu Chi Center the first Wing Chun school in South Africa
representing the Grandmaster. The Wu Chi Centre offers Wing Chun study under
Sifu Jones alongside a massage centre run by Sifu Jones' wife, Cathy. Whilst
Sifu Jones studied Wing Chun in Hong Kong, Cathy studied Acupressure, Deep
tissue massage, Aromatherapy massage and Reflexology.
